NEWS
12/21/2007 - The Kathy Fleischmann Band returned to TRAXX in Ronkonkoma. We played an exciting set and won over some more fans. We also began playing in NYC in December - this band is going places! Here are some photos from Traxx:

12/20/2007 - Geoffrey Armes assembled this terrific band and we played The Pisces Cafe in Babylon. The band featured Geoffrey on bass & vocals, me on electric guitar and vocals, Tom Fitzpatrick on acoustic guitar and vocals, Ivette Torres on keyboards and vocals, and Mike Christian on drums. Our set of original music was well received by a large and enthusiastic Pisces crowd. Here are some photos:

08/24/2007 - The Kathy Fleischmann Band played 8/18/07 at Lefty's in Lindenhurst. Only our second gig but I can already see that this is an exceptional group. If you haven't seen us yet, come out to our next gig - I sense big things for this band... Here are some photos from Lefty's:

06/23/2007 - I had the pleasure of playing a recent NYC gig with my friend and True To Life bandmate Michael Porter. We played to a Saturday night audience at Googie's Lounge (Upstairs at The Living Room) in SOHO. It was a satisfying gig, and Michael's presence on Bass added another dimension to the music. Hopefully we'll do this again soon. Here are some photos:

06/16/2007 - I'm playing electric guitar again in a terrific band. The Kathy Fleischmann Band played it's first gig June 15th at The Vintage Lounge in Levittown NY. It was a benefit concert for Prunebelly Syndrome Research and we played a very strong set. Here's a picture of the band:

10/01/2006 - I spent the summer recording two new songs. "Greed and Fear" was recorded at Geoffrey Armes's Village Recording. It features Geoffrey and I playing many instruments and Ljuba Castot singing with me on the chorus. "Sacred Place" was recorded at SAE in NYC with Francisco Toror engineering and Geoffrey sitting in the producer's chair. This is the first recording of the Kevin McLeod Band - hopefully there will be more! (hopefully we'll get out and play some gigs too!) Here are some photos of Francisco, Geoffrey, and I from the recording sessions.

12/21/2005 - I played the opening set for John Ford at the Pisces Cafe in Babylon 12/17. John played an excellent set both solo and with his son John Jr. on bass. He did some classics from his days in The Strawbs & Hudson Ford, and played many songs from his recent CD of Christmas songs. It was a treat to have another Strawb, keyboardist John Hawken, in the audience. John Ford invited John Hawken, drummer Steve Ward, and myself up to the bandstand to perform a few rockin' Christmas songs as well as an energetic "Part of the Union" that had everyone in the Pisces audience singing along. It was a great night! Here are some photos:

11/27/2005 - Phil DeStefano & I played two very enjoyable sets at the Pisces Cafe in Babylon 11/25. Phil sounded great playing his PRS and singing & jamming with me on old and new songs. Marco Conelli and his band opened with songs from Marco's latest CD, "Measuring the Walls", as well as some cool covers. Marco invited me up to sing a verse of his song "Late September". Marco's drummer, Ray Forgione, sat in with Phil & I for quite a few songs. It was a fun night. Here are some photos:

10/01/2005 - On 9/11/2005 I played at the Port Jefferson Music Festival with Kathy Fleischmann. Its always a pleasure to share the stage (or in this case, section of parking lot) with Kathy. I got to play guitar on a few of her songs - including two new ones, Kathy sang with me on "A Ladder to Mars" and "Secret Heart", and I premiered a new song called "Brooklyn, 1964". Kathy ended the performance with a moving rendition of Paul Simon's "American Tune". Here are some photos:

5/01/2005 - I recently recorded a new song at Cloud9 Recording. 'Liana's Lonely' is already getting radio airplay. You can listen to a sample on the MUSIC page, download a complete MP3, or purchase the CD Single (with cool artwork & lyrics) at a gig. I'm very pleased with the way this song turned out. Here is a photo of me with Cloud9 owner/engineer Joe Napoli, who did an excellent job mixing and mastering this song.

3/15/2005 - It's been while since I had time to update this page. The photo below was taken at the LIMC Tsunami Relief Benefit Concert which took place on February 19th 2005, at The Crazy Donkey in Farmingdale. The Long Island Music Coalition raised just shy of $1500.00 - all of this was donated to the Red Cross Tsunami Relief Fund. (photo courtesy of Wayne Herrschaft)

11/01/2004 - Phil DeStefano and I enjoyed playing a few gigs together this past month, both on LI (Pisces Cafe) and in Virginia (Caribou Coffee & Robinette's Coffee). Here are a few photos from the Virginia gigs.

4/01/2004 - Janine, Nicole & I performed officially as Buddha Triangle on 3/20 at Mr.Beery's in Farmingdale for the Aural Fix Anniversary Party. Mike Ferarri had some great bands booked - it was a fun night. Here are some pictures of our performance. (courtesy of Roger Silverberg)

2/01/2004 - I haven't updated this NEWS page in a while - there is much going on! "The Road Home" continues to get airplay locally (WUSB, WGBB, WFUV), nationally, and in Europe. I'm very pleased with the way so many people are connecting with this collection of songs.

I recently had the pleasure of playing a gig with The Buddha Box - including Will Angeloro. Will was visiting from his new home in England. This dual-guitar Buddha Box played a great set at the Pisces Cafe in Babylon on Wednesday, Jan. 21st. Janine & Nicole were both in fine voice as we played many songs from "I Can't Believe it's not Buddha" as well as a few from "The Road Home". Later, Will & I joined Rich 'Howlin' Hughes as he sang an original blues song. Here are some photos from the night: (courtesy of Kathy Fleischmann)

9/02/2003 - BIG NEWS - You can now purchase my latest CD "The Road Home" online! Just click on the 'Buy CD' link (the record with the baby head in the middle). This will take you to CDBaby.com where you can purchase the CD. While you're there you might want to pick up Kathy Fleischmann's latest too (it's called "Unresolved" - it's a great CD and you can hear me guitaring on many of the songs).

Speaking of Kathy... If you weren't at The Pisces Cafe in Babylon Village on 8/29/2003 you missed a great Kathy Fleischmann & Rob Upham gig. They both played inspired sets. Kathy asked me to sit in on a few songs at the end of her 2nd set and Rob generously lent me his guitar. We played two songs from her latest CD: "Bluer Than Chicago" & "5 O'clock Shadow". We also sang "Give Love" together for the first time. Kathy gave an emotional performance of "Give Love" in the studio for "The Road Home" but we sang our vocals separately. It was nice to finally sing the song together - I hope we get to do it again soon.

7/31/2003 - Here are some photos from the World Hunger Year benefit at Munchaba Lounge in Levittown (courtesy of Ward Photography). I was pleased to be able to take part in the concert - it benefited a worthwhile organization and I got to hear some great performances from Kathy Fleischmann, Jenn Chapin, Lisa Itts & Solstar, Neil Cavanaugh, The YaYas, and Spoonwalk. Plus, I had a great time playing guitar and singing with Janine & Nicole from Buddha Box.

7/04/2003 - The big news is that I finally had the time this July 4th weekend to get this website up! I will be adding more information/photos/music in the future but thought best to make what was ready available. So... please check out the music, find out where I'm playing and come down to a gig, and feel free to contact me with any suggestions. I have a few music samples on my MUSIC page but I hope to get some full songs and downloads out there in the near future.

I'll also be adding more information about the sessions and music on "The Road Home". The CD should be available the 1st week in August - I'll let you know where it can be purchased. Thanks for visiting!

One more thing - visit the Cloud9 Recording website (see my LINKS page) and go to the 'Who's on Cloud9 too' link to see some pictures from "The Road Home" recording sessions.
